English 19th Century Adjustable Artist’s Easel

This dark pine artist’s easel from late 19th century England is an attractive solution to display art without a wall, allowing for more dynamic engagement with your collection as the tall rack is easily adjustable to exhibit framed pieces or works-in-progress, The narrow ledge, which displays a tactile accumulation of paint, locks into the vertical support bar by a pin mechanism that can slide up and down. The smaller clamp above has a small metal key allowing it to move independently and gently grip the top of the art. Deep feet at the floor are fitted with casters for mobility as needed around the home or studio. This easel has been gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve the historic character. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age.
