Description
An English mahogany wine box of oval form, its surface defined by the rhythmic strength of horizontal iron straps and a warm, aged patina. The elegant taper and functional beauty of the piece reflect the refined practicality of late Georgian and Regency era domestic objects.
Circa 1820, this original period cellarette was crafted during a time when the ritual of dining was becoming increasingly sophisticated and mobile.
Constructed from deep-toned mahogany and reinforced with iron straps that have matured to a soft, dark character. Rooted in the English Regency tradition, this wine box embodies the sleek but detailed aesthetic adopted for gracious living during the early 19th century. -
