French 19th Century Terracotta Sleeping Cupid after Giovacchino Fortini

$ 2,950
  • Description
    A French terracotta figure of a sleeping cupid from the 19th century, with bow, quiver and arrows, after Italian sculptor Giovacchino Fortini. Created in France during the 19th century, this terracotta sculpture charms us with its depiction of a deeply sleeping cupid, his head resting on his left arm while his right arm is holding his bow. Created after the marble of Toscan artist Giovacchino Fortini (1671-1739) who chose to represent cupid without his traditional wings, this 19th century terracotta figure with brown patina, melts our hearts with this peaceful scene and skillful execution, making it a exquisite decorative addition to any home!
