Antique German Hanau Baroque Silver BoxCC539German Baroque silver box. Imported to England in 1910 by Boaz Moses Landeck. Rectangular with straight sides and hinged cover; corner peg supports. Chased and embossed scenes of daily life with cavaliers and ladies as well as beggars and wenches. On front, a procession of horse-drawn carriages and porter-borne sedan chairs. On back, rumbling carts and foot-sore infantry. On underside is engraved “The Three Musketeers / Holland /1888”. German fineness stamp (930) and Hanau maker’s stamp.
