    Antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over copper vase. The vase has an urn shaped body and a wide neck. The body of the vase is adorned with polychrome medallions depicting birds in blossoming flowers and plants made in the Cloisonne technique. The medallions are adorned with a butterfly motif made in the same technique. The neck features floral, medallions, geometrical, and foliage patterns made in the same technique. The base is decorated with foliage and geometrical ornaments made in the same technique. The ground of the vase is inlaid with a Goldstone. Unmarked.
