The figurative object of the sculpture represents the beauty of human beings in all shapes and volume while finding the attraction within the imperfection. His work message also conveys self-confidence and acceptance. The sculpture is marked and signed Maher.

James P. Maher, was a renowned artist whose drawings, paintings and sculptures reflected an innate appreciation for the human form in all its beauty and imperfections. He received a National Academy School of Fine Arts Certificate of Award May 23, 1968.
