Brazilian Modern Magazine Rack in Hardwood, Brazil, c. 1960

$ 2,200
  • Description
    Available today, this Brazilian Modern Magazine Rack in Hardwood made in the sixties is nothing less than spectacular.

    The magazine rack is made with Brazilian Rosewood which is also known as Jacaranda. It has two curved sides and a base. One of the sides has a handle. The shape and the quality of the wood grain is impeccable and a piece like this would be a perfect fit for any office or home space.

    This piece is made in the style of Jorge Zalszupin, maximizing the use of curves to create a visual illusion of levity, something also common in Scandinavian design. In the vignette we are showcasing the piece next to a Martin Eisler armchair and a bench from Sergio Rodrigues and the convo looks spectacular.

    This is yet another example of joinery and design in Brazil during the sixties.
