Large German Rococo Classical sterling silver box, ca 1910. Lobed and oval with straight sides and four ball supports; cover hinged and raised. Chased and engraved ornament. On cover top, morally serious scenes: A tambourine-holding woman confronts a distressed man, and a woman tends a child. Sides decorative with frolicking cherubs in scrolled frames surrounded by flowers, ribbon, and leafing scrollwork. Marked. Very good condition.
