Description
This beautiful large vase was designed by Marc Lalique.
With a leaf design, this piece is very decorative - with or without flowers.
Signed on the base - please see the picture of the etching.
Circa 1960.
The name Lalique has long been renowned as a sophisticated French brand famous for jewellry - and then glassware, clocks, chandeliers and car bonnet mascots.
René Lalique's naturalistic designs helped define the Art Nouveau movement with design themes featuring animals, plants and insects - just like our vase. As tastes developed, designs also followed the Art Deco style too - as his later career entered into luxury interior design in Paris and then worldwide.
The brand remains strong today and has a global following. - More Information
