Description
On offer for your consideration we have a miniature Meissen porcelain canary bird perched on a tree stump figurine.
This beautifully modeled and hand painted canary bird shows the highest quality of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. The details of the painting is so fine most likely done with one hair brush. The piece has the under glaze cross sword mark and the incised number 728A and 77236. The canary is beautifully modeled and every feather is hand painted in gold.
A great example of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory the first to produce porcelain in Europe since 1710. -
