Description
Native American Double Pocket Wall Basket
New England, early 19th century
Ash, with untouched original paint
Height 28 inches
A true best of kind from the personal collection of New England baskets of Roger Bacon (1904-1982), the famed New Hampshire antiquarian. We first purchased this basket at the landmark 1982 sale of the Bacon collection and reacquired it forty years later from the collection of Peter and Barbara Goodman, to whom we had sold it. -
