Natsume with Fireflies, 1970s
Maki-e gold lacquer and red lacquer on wood
Size 2¾ x 2½ x 2½ in. (7.1 x 6.9 x 6.9 cm)
Natsume tea caddy with katagiri engraved decor of plants in gold and green and fireflies in black and red hiramaki-e lacquer, on a polished black lacquer ground. Incised bottom signature.
