German 800 silver bust of Napoleon I, ca 1900. Underneath a plain bicorne is a face of expressive of empire-building will. Based on the statue by Charles Émile Seurre, which stands watch at the Invalides. A formidable desk companion for surveying mundane procrastination and paper shuffling. Mounted to rock crystal base supported by four silver-gilt eagle supports.
Silver has Hanau maker’s stamp (Neresheimer). Very good condition.
