PAIR OF EARLY 19TH C GRAND TOUR BRONZE AND SIENNA MARBLE TAZZAS

  • Description
    A Larger than normal pair of early 19th Century Grand Tour patinated bronze and Sienna marble tazzas in the Neo-Classical taste.

    French Circa 1820.

    Of large proportions standing 35cm in height, each patinated bronze Tazza having a beaded rim and reeded edge over a gadrooned tapering bowl with scrolled acanthus leaf handles, supported by a waisted circular socle with a foliate upturned leaf base. Seated on tall square Sienna marble plinths with finely chased lappet cast mounts over a stepped base.

    In very good condition these Tazza’s are particularly fine with good bronze work and choice cuts of veined Sienna marble used. Note these are larger than normal found.
