Rare pair of "terres mêlées" ceramic vases by Pichon of Uzès in the form of an antique-inspired amphora. The marbled body displays swirling veins of moss green, ochre, cream, and charcoal beneath a matte glaze. . Bearing the Pichon factory mark incised under the base. Its surface. Founded in 1802 in Uzès, the Pichon workshop became celebrated for refined earthenware that bridged utilitarian pottery and decorative art.
