Reed & Barton Pair of Sterling Silver 1907 5-Light Candelabra

    Pair of Reed & Barton sterling silver 5-light candelabra from 1907 in Hepplewhite pattern and in Art Deco style. Standing on octogonal bases, these candelabra typify the Art Deco style with their elegant proportions. An engraved floral frieze adorns the candelabra. Each measures 20'' in height by 15'' from arm to arm, is weighted, and bears hallmarks as shown. One bobeche is missing.

    Reed & Barton was founded as Babbitt & Crossman in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1824. The failing company was then purchased by Henry G. Reed and business partner Charles E. Barton–and by 1896, the company was awarded a Medal of Excellence at the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition. During the 1900s, Reed & Barton silver continued to be incredibly popular.
