Japonesque sterling silver vase. Made by Tiffany & Co. in Union Square, New York. Lozenge pillar bowl on 4 scroll-mounted rectilinear volute-scroll supports. Engraved ornament: Flowers, bunnies and birds as well as a solitary human in fan frames; patterned diaper ground. At top, ogee-scroll border. At bottom, cast stylized bird and flower band. Gilt interior. Symbolically-loaded exotic charm. Early marks (1870-75) including maker’s stamp and pre-1875 pattern no. 3607. Very good condition.
