Lovely crowned Virgin and Child in walnut from the Renaissance period - 17th century

Very beautiful virgin resting on a globe wrapped with the serpent of Genesis with the forbidden fruit in the mouth
Very good quality sculpture with still a Gothic influence in the movement of the clothes
The Virgin is wearing a crown. From this crown escapes a long wavy hair covering her shoulders.
She holds the baby Jesus in her right arm
Beautiful patina and in superb condition
rare size easy to place in an interior
