A beautiful vintage and authentic minimalist standing ashtray from the 1950s, designed and crafted by Werkstätte Carl Auböck in Vienna, Austria. This sculptural piece features a triangular brass base and a removable brass ashtray bowl. It is in very good condition, with the brass displaying a charming patina that reflects its age. We have chosen to preserve this patina, but upon request, we are happy to polish it for you.
This is a highly decorative and collectible object by Carl Auböck—one that is not easily found.
It is featured in the book Carl Auböck. 1900-1957. Painter and Designer, published on the occasion of the 230th special exhibition at the Historical Museum of the City of Vienna in November 1997.
