Description
The well-woven to finely knotted 1890 to 1910 pieces woven in the eponymous workshop or its copyists, in Tabriz, in formats ranging from mats to giant carpets, with prayer (niche), allover and medallion layouts, with filled or open fields, often with a characteristic rust-red field tone. A few silks are recorded. Prices are usually unsigned and undated. Cotton foundations, brisk pile. Expensive and up.
