Description
The tawny orange field of this Xinjiang Khotan town carpet features rows of roughly stylized roses and lesser geometric leaves and other elements. The outer main and secondary stripes are in the Yun-tsao Tou pattern of polychrome clouds and rain. Typical k'ang format in Eastern Turkestan. Moderate weave on cotton. Good condition. Blues tend to denim and slate.
