An antique Persian Afshar rug. Little birds fill in around abstract trees with dotted V-shaped crowns in an allover, one-way pattern on the warm, medium brown ground of this SE Persian nomadic scatter. The tawny border shows slanted leaves and rosettes in the Afshar style.
