Antique Persian Bakhshayesh Rug 9'6" x 10'9"

Description
The ecru/straw field of this rustic Heriz/Bakshayesh carpet shows a totally informal version of the traditional Hershang design with various ragged palmettes, a central symmetric elements, short stiff stems and geometric florets, accented in pale blue, salmon and straw. Rust strip style border with naively drawn, long arm turtles. Coarse/moderate weave. Natural dyes in a slightly lighter palette. Good condition with very slight end reduction.
