Description
All eggshell, field and borders, with small, dense, allover textile patterns of, in the field, a skeletal escutcheon and cartouche lattice enclosing tiny red vases and peacock tail palmettes, and in the border rosette flowers and budding flat palmettes. Accents in rose. green and brown-black. An attractive type of a Zil-i-Sultan design popular in the later 19th century. Erect, short-clipped brisk pile. Good condition.
