Description
Town in Western Anatolia weaving mostly room sizes in coarse to moderate weave high pile. Antiques are all wool changing to cotton foundations in the 1920s. Geometric or Persian-derived patterns soft or strong palettes; allover or medallion. Informal execution. Carpets change with interior design fashions. Mostly carpets some very large also a few runners and scatters. No prayer rugs. Moderate to expensive.
