A vintage European Savonnerie carpet. In a 1940's style, exuberant acanthus fronds curl into the ivory field flecked with small pink roses. Rose bunches accent the corners of the plain gold border. Just past the Art Deco period, this thick pile French carpet still works with Deco furniture or with 1940's décor, a still underappreciated furnishing period.
