A vintage Persian Heriz carpet. The ivory field shows a corner pattern of geometric leaves and vines, and supports a stepped madder red hexagonal subfield with a layered green and navy octogramme medallion. All round are geometrically rendered flowers and leaves in light blue, salmon, buff, straw yellow and dark brown. Doubly bent leaves and stepped rosettes ornament the navy border.
