Vintage Rya Rug by Margareta Grandin Nettles (Bla Flora)

$ 5,000
  • Description
    This charming shaggy vintage Swedish Rya rug designed by Margareta Grandin Nettles (Bla Flora) reflects the quintessence of Scandinavian craftsmanship. The bold floral pattern in shades of blue and white on a shaded gray background looks like a real artpainting. Handmade of highest quality materials this vintage carpet embodies everything that is best about Swedish weaving – beauty and durability. Its style – Rya – was developed many centuries ago in Scandinavia to protect the people, especially the mariners living off the sea, from the harsh weather conditions. The first Ryas were modeled on natural animal fur, hence they are characterized by an exceptionally shaggy, long pile.
