Description
Set of 6 Modern sterling silver sandwich flags. Made by Adolph Scott in Birmingham in 1928. Each: Swallow-tail burgee frame mounted to pole. Inset plastic printed with sandwich type: anchovy, crab, cucumber, egg, lobster, and sardine. Can be swapped out for cress, ham, and tomato & cheese. In original leather-bound case with fitted velvet and silk lining.
A memento of English Between-the-Wars hospitality.
Fully marked including design no. 742069, which was registered in the same year. Very good condition.
