Description
An antique Japanese, Meiji period, footed enamel over copper bowl. The interior of the bowl is adorned with polychrome enamel panels depicting blossoming flowers surrounded by a swirl motif, and a round shaped medallion depicting a scene with rabbits over waves made in the Cloisonne technique. The borders are adorned with an enamelled floral motif made in the same technique. The exterior of the ware is decorated with polychrome enamel floral, foliage, and scaly ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: 19th century.
