Description
WMF green glass claret jug of typical art nouveau stylised form. The bottom mount depictis a maiden's head with a flower in her hair. The hair flows around the piece creating a winding pattern. The upper mount has floral motifs. The finial modelled with grapes. The lid is operated via a hinge and a thumb piece. Impressed maker's marks to reverse of one foot 'WMF', 'EP' (electroplated), 'I/O' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and 'as' (antique silver finish).
