For your consideration we have a fab rare in color and as a serving piece.
This Staffordshire green transferware large covered vegetable dish was made by George Phillips in England around 1834 and one of the rarest pieces in the dinner service.
The bowl is fully marked in the knot Park Scenery G. Phillips with longport below. The scene on the cover is of 2 cows on each side with bouquet of flowers in between and an incredibly beautiful large double flower handle surrounded by scrolling. The vegetable dish has a sean of 2 cows and a lamb surrounded by trees and a castle in the background. This for the serious collector of rare Staffordshire transwerware especially in green is a must have.
This piece came from an old mansion on Long Island gold coast. -
