American Edwardian sterling silver cocktail set comprising shaker and six cups, ca 1910. Shaker: Ovoid bowl on stepped foot; detachable strainer in short neck. Cover domed with cast berry finial and cork plug. Each cup: Conical bowl on stepped foot. Chased and engraved fruiting grapevine ornament; Bacchus head on shaker. Backs vacant. Plenty of room for engraving as well as drinking. Shaker holds 3 1/2 pints. Marks include retailer’s stamp (JE Caldwell), nos. 43C (shaker) and 3183C (cup), and volume (shaker). Very good condition.
