Description
A truly beautiful Japanese ceremonial kimono, circa 1930s in an Oriental Art Deco style. White silk textured background with elaborate and intricate embroidery in colors, sliver and gold threads. The front and the back of the kimono depict auspicious symbols peacocks, stylized ginkgo leaves, cherry blossoms and peonies, and art deco motifs such as thousands of fans and screens. Padded red interior with cotton weighted down trim and larger than life size for ceremonial use only. It now hangs as a bespoken textile art for any distinguished interior.
