African Gabon Late 20th Century (1990s) carved wood Fang ceremonial mask features a curved & tapered ovoid head with large headress including an inlaid monkey skull, a painted grid pattern in blue and red, 2 eye slits, rope inlay and irregularly spaced rim holes around the face. (Fang masks were noted as being an inspiration for Modigliani)
