Description Hendrick Frans Diamer (Flemish c 1690-1770) "A piper and his companion" Born in Antwerp, Diamer was influenced by Teniers and Cornelis Bega. He painted lively tavern scenes and peasant feasts in a style similar to Dirck Verhaert. His composition recalls the tradition of the 17th C but the color and tone are 18th C. There are examples of his paintings in the Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
