Large Scale Michel Choqueux 'Leaf' Carved Wall Sculpture, France, c. 1950's
A carpenter and cabinetmaker from father to son, living in Neuvy-au-Houlme (Orne, Normandy), Michel Choqueux began his apprenticeship in his grandfather Fernand's workshop in 1964, where his father, Alain, had also learned the trade. He worked with wood since the age of 14, and his many passions serve as sources of inspiration for the creation sculpture.
Throughout his career, he has followed various training courses: drawing classes at the Boulle School.
