Description
An original, gorgeous, watercolor Portrait of a girl by Listed Artist Myra Sides Copus, harmonious, beautiful, colors mixed with reds, yellows and pastels, creating an emotional dramatic painting. This original work of art is from the 20th century, it is very colorful and is quite striking, preserved in outstanding condition. The painting represents a girl, with expressionist brush strokes, notable is the incredible use of colors. This style and technique showcases the quality of the painting. The lower right corner bears the artist signature (M.Sides Copus).

Myra Copus received her BFA, cum laude from the University of Georgia. A Phi Beta Kappa, she majored in painting and drawing and minored in language. After spending two years in Brazil as a Peace Corps volunteer, she and her family moved to Annapolis, MD.
A former gallery owner and continuous painter, she has developed a unique watercolor technique. Paintings are spontaneous compositions created by large wash areas, intricate detail and line. Oils are characterized by jewel-like transparency. There is endless variety of texture and atmosphere in her paintings, and her love of nature is the driving force.
Complementing originals are fourteen signed and numbered limited edition prints. She has had numerous one person shows and her work can be found in collections nationwide. -
