This compelling set of three original Art Deco design illustrations, one signed “Cendrier,” features a dynamic and imaginative interpretation of classic Deco motifs. Though the artist’s identity remains uncertain, the works were acquired in New Zealand, and the signature suggests possible French influence, as "cendrier" translates to "ashtray" in French. These original works, executed on toned paper in gouache and ink, explore a refined synthesis of stylized objects and streamlined forms.

Each composition reveals a richly detailed arrangement of decorative elements, including stylized jewelry, teapots, ashtrays, watches, and sleek architectural forms, all infused with Machine Age flair and the geometry that defines the Art Deco aesthetic.
