Modern Resin Art by Andreas Anastasis
-
Description
From the series e·the·re·al, this piece unfurls in deep, earthen hues that seem to pulse from within. A sepia core radiates outwards, dissolving into muted creams and soft shadows, like breath exhaled into cold air. The image feels both grounded and ghostly—rooted in the body, yet hovering just beyond reach. There’s a sense of quiet turbulence at its center, a swirling motion that speaks of memory, loss, or transformation. Textures emerge and retreat, hinting at form without fully revealing it, leaving space for feeling over definition. The softness of the gradient draws the viewer into a moment of suspended time—where what is seen is not fixed, but felt. Like smoke caught in stillness or the warmth of a fading touch, the work evokes introspection. It is a meditation in amber, a visual echo of something intimate and unseen, asking not to be deciphered but simply experienced.
ABOUT ANDREAS ANASTASIS
Andreas Anastasis is a London-born, New York-based multidisciplinary artist whose sculptural, photographic, and cinematic works radiate emotional gravity and mythic depth. Born in 1975, Anastasis draws profoundly from his Greek-Cypriot ancestry, channeling classical mythology through a soulful, contemporary lens. His creations do not simply echo the past—they reawaken it. Through form, shadow, and movement, he captures a reverence for the human experience, rendering the ephemeral eternal and the sacred tangible.
Working seamlessly across mediums, Anastasis transforms his subjects into living relics of transformation. Each sculpture emerges through a process of performative creation—a ritual of movement, emotion, and energy—culminating in resin forms that feel both ancient and alive. His photographs and films extend this spiritual vocabulary, offering poetic meditations on beauty, vulnerability, and transcendence. Whether suspended in motion or frozen in luminous clarity, his works are imbued with an aura of quiet intensity, inviting reflection and awe.
His work has been featured in prestigious exhibitions including Laverdin Fine Arts, Art Basel Miami, and the Tappan Art Gallery in Los Angeles. Internationally recognized for his evocative films and sculptural mastery, Anastasis continues to push the boundaries between disciplines with a voice that is at once timeless and unmistakably modern. His most recent resin sculptures are now represented by Mogul at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, offering collectors and curators a rare opportunity to encounter the sacred through sculpture—poised between power and grace, silence and revelation. -
