One of the finest artworks we have ever seen by famed Radio City Music Hall artist, Eduard Buk Ulreich, this ink and gouache drawing depicts a slender, statuesque female nude surrounded by a complex, Cubist network of trees, deer, fish and exotic birds. Ulreich came to fame as one of the muralists who decorated the lounges and public rooms of Radio City Music Hall in New York City. His painting of cowboys and horses in one of the men's lounges demonstrated his love of the Wild West, and he returned to this topic again and again. Ulreich created mosaics for the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago, and several post office murals for the Works Progress Administration. Here, the artist used ink, graphite and gouache on paper, which has been beautifully floated in a modern frame.
