Description
This is a lovely portrait of a cat who seems extremely interested and aware of something outside of the picture frame to our right. Similar to the paintings seen in the early Northern renaissance era, this talented artist has focused on the accurate rendering of the surface textures of the objects in the composition. She invites us to reach out and feel the softness of the fur, the shiny pink nose, the delicacy of the whiskers, and the velvety red pillow, and the bright reflection in the small gold bell fastened around its neck. This pampered cat is clearly spoiled, loved, and cherished, as it should be.
