A view of the Cathedral in Azilio, Spain by the unique and distinctive artist S.C. Yuan, considered by many to be one of the most talented artists from the Monterey Peninsula/Carmel area. This cityscape is a fine example of this artist's singular, original style, with bold, thick application of paint and broad, emphatic brushstrokes. His methods developed from a blending of eastern and western artistic traditions and his work was influenced by eastern elegance and economy of line while simultaneously displaying the energy of Western-style abstraction.
