MY FASHION CHRONICLES
I have always loved the world of fashion, a world that is always reinventing itself in glorious, myriad ways. I was first able to record it thanks to assignments from top fashion editors at Vogue and The New York Times Magazine. Fashion shows were exciting in themselves. But to be able to regularly photograph the world of icons, innovators, and stars at a variety of festive events — a traveling roadshow in New York of fashion legends including Bill Blass, Halston, Versace, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, and all the rest — was above and beyond. Soon I was invited to events by designers themselves. I was beyond the ropes! The familiarity and access allowed me behind the scenes to capture candid shots of both the designers and their brilliant creations.
