Description
This is a 39.5 x 59 inches archival giclée black and white print on archival exhibition paper. It is part of a limited edition of 6 plus 2 AP. Signed and numbered in the front.
An edition of 10 and an edition of 20, smaller in size, are also available.
This photograph is part of J. L. Fievet’s CV series. This image in particular is part of a recent series that the photographer took focusing on street scenes on or around the Manhattan Bridge and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. It shows the shadow of a person walking on the bridge, The dark shadow drawn against the orange light over the stone wall makes the whole image very surreal and very poetic at the same time,
Jean-Luc Fievet is best known for his black and white photographs portraying people and everyday street life. His work is marked by both an expressionistic approach for the close-up portraits, as well as a documentary freshness for the street scenes portraying the every-day life of different urban realities.
Jean-Luc’s journey into photography began by recording intimate moments of his family and the families of close friends. When he moved to Paris he discovered a new world that he adopted immediately, the city. His work then led him to New York, where he settled permanently. He states: “Photography for me is a constant exploration of powerful emotions, of sensuality, of the reality around me and the dreams within.” -
