“Soulmates Transcendence, ” 2008/2016, signed edition 1/10, by photographer Layla Love printed in shades of black and white with undertones of subtle gold on aluminum.

The photographer’s technique is a complex one as the image is first shot as a traditional negative and printed on fiber based paper, and hand tinted. Then a digital file is created and Love erases the whites in a layered, painterly way allowing the gold tones to shine through in varying degrees resulting in an image that glows, reflects and changes in the light.
Love takes pride in the highest quality work and has developed traditional darkroom techniques paired with an understanding of cutting-edge technology yielding dreamy iridescent photographs in limited editions.
