Description
The classic neon signs of Freemont Street glow and beckon in this 1975 photograph by Mitchell Funk.
The camera angle, lighting, and composition transform the subject matter from a representational to a semi-abstract photograph.
Signed, dated and numbered Edition 2 /15, lower right, Printed later, unframed, other sizes available. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper
Mitchell Funk participated in the first color photography show at any major American Museum. "Images en Couleur " Brooklyn Museum 1970. In the 1970's and 1980 he had more than 50 photography magazine covers. He did covers for Life Magazine and Fortune Magazine as well -
