Description
This stunning lithograph titled "Mujer En Rojo" by renowned Mexican artist Byron Gálvez ( 1941- 2009) showcases his signature abstract modernist style. Created in 1980, the piece is a rare artist's proof, marked and signed in pencil on both lower corners. The striking composition embodies a vivid interplay of bold, organic forms in warm, fiery tones of red, orange, and deep black, balanced by silver and gold accents. These colors and shapes evoke a profound sense of movement and emotional depth, drawing the viewer into its layered, fluid narrative.
The subject, a female figure, is gracefully abstracted into intertwined, flowing lines and fragmented forms, hinting at the sensuality and complexity of human emotion and identity. Gálvez's masterful use of Arches paper enhances the textural richness, creating a harmonious contrast between the lithographic medium and the dynamic energy of the composition.
Finely framed in white, the presentation emphasizes the artwork's timeless elegance while preserving its originality and vibrant essence. Signed "Byron 80" and labeled as a proof, this piece is a significant example of Gálvez's contributions to modern art, offering a glimpse into his ability to blend abstraction with profound visual storytelling.
