Description
Ilana Dashe is a Colombian-American printmaker and artist. Much of Ilana’s artistic influence emerged during her six years living in Tokyo, Japan where her printmaking originated. She uses custom mixed inks on high quality papers and combines lithograph, silkscreen and mono-printing techniques to create original artwork directly on press. Her passion comes alive through each layer of her unique hand-printing process. This lithograph triptych celebrates the koi fish, considered special in Japan because they symbolize luck, prosperity, and good fortune.
