This lithograph is from Pablo Picasso's esteemed "Suite Vollard," a series originally crafted between 1930 and 1937. This particular edition, produced between 1990 and 1992, was authorized by the Picasso family, ensuring its fidelity to the original works. Each piece in this limited edition is numbered out of 300, bears a museum stamp on the reverse side detailing the reference number, copyright, and year, and features Picasso's signature within the plate.
The "Suite Vollard" comprises 100 etchings that delve into themes such as the artist's studio, classical mythology, and the Minotaur, reflecting Picasso's neoclassical style of the early 1930s. These works were commissioned by the art dealer Ambroise Vollard, after whom the suite is named. The 1990-1992 lithographic reproductions were meticulously produced to capture the essence of Picasso's originals, offering collectors and art enthusiasts an opportunity to engage with these seminal pieces.
